The 29 spline 8.25 is definitely an improvement, the bad I think you may need to make a change to your Driveshaft (you can have mine from a 98 XJ with an Auto just PM me) Not sure about the ABS, Good Luck Patrick let me know if this would help

Thanks Dan I will let you know what happens right know Im playing phone tag with people trying to get a pick up time for the 8.25

so you think its worth getting the dana 35 swapping it out, and the rebuilding the old one into a super 35 kit Im not going on any crazy trails or anything?

Don't wast your time with the Dana 35. The 8.25 will stand up much better for your use, is inexpensive, and is bolt in. What gear ratio do you have?

I would look for a 29 spline 8.25. At the rate your going it should supply plenty of strength at the cost of an easy swap.

C clip and non c clip axle shafts are not interchangeable and I believe the superior shafts are of a higher spline count (30 spline) iirc.

just disconnect the abs wires and take the relays/fues out, the braking system will work fine without it. ( I did this to mine when i installed my 44 and mine's a dd as well)
